This is tough. I mean obviously originaliy wins because if you spit the best shit ever but it's all been said then you're shit. And being underground aint shit anyways. I'd much rather someone be average and original. Not to mention over lyricism sucks balls anyways. I'll take Jay or 50 over Canibus any day. Why? Because half the time Canibus doesn't even make sense when I hear him. Some of his rhyming is crazy, but I don't know what it means. What do I care about cosmonauts and ostrich thoughts? Originality over lyricism any day, a lot of rappers on this forum don't seem to understand originality. A lot have accents and I hear some people telling them "Your accent makes you unique" no it doesn't, having a flaw in rap doesn't make you unique. I can't see how you can call someone average if he has originality, I mean someone making original tracks means that he has worked very hard to be where he is to differ from the rest. It's nothing easy to do to become original, but being personal is original IMO. Cause no one can be you, they can try but they'll only make a fool out of themselves.

Writing like Canibus doesn't make you lyrical, if you use original rhymes and methaphors then your lyrical aswel imo... So they are actualy both the same...

I've honestly sat down and figured out a few canibus songs/freestyles and at times he's cool. Actually had some shit that made me go "oh that's tight in a science class make my mind melt and leak out my ass kinda way" but then there was shit that literally made NO sense. Like he just looked through the dictionary and picked words. Like made Papoose's Alphabetical Slaughter look like sensible music. So if you like hearing big words delivered by someone who sounds like they're constantly stubbing their baby toe while being throat fucked by a frog then Mr. Can-I-Bus is the shit. Otherwise he's not that great.
