I hate to sound like some elitist, but kids at my school do not know people like Asher Roth, Crooked I, Charles Hamilton, Kid Cudi, Wale, and all those other rappers that I frequently read about on Hip-Hop sites. I once tried to explain to one of my friends about Slaughterhouse, and when I got to Joe Budden's name, all she could say was "PUMP IT UP!!!!!!"

I'm surprised at Asher's popularity. He's constantly on the radio now. Not just the main Hip-Hop stations like 106 KMEL or Hot 97, but he's getting played on a Sacramento station, which plays nothin but Top 40 shit. And I also heard that he broke the top 20 in the Billboard Hot 100 this week 'cause of his iTunes sales, which is at 300,000+ right now.

Damn his album will probably go platinum. I lol'd at "PUMP IT UP!!!!!". So glad I left school, those assholes, constantly playing that chris brown type music.
