Beware new Xmas virus...

Software security experts today warned of a new computer virus - the Santa Clause worm - threathing to infect millions of computers.

A threat alert released by security firm IM logic today said the worm is indifferent as to whether computers are "naughty or nice" and attempts to get users of IM networks run by AOL,Microsoft and Yahoo to visit a seemingly festive web site featuring Santa, Pc world released today.

The message comes from someone already present on a users "buddy list" .It contains a link to a url starting with "santaclause.aol.com/a?

However,clicking that link takes users to a different web site and triggers the download of a malicious file to a users PC.

Thanx 4 the warning Asp, some ppl are so pathetic (but clever) making pointless viruses 4 fun. It is so annoying when you get one - last time it wiped out my whole system.

Viruses are actually no problem at all if you're not computer ignorant and have the right tools. Viruses like this are usually nothing though.
