yes i belive in a higher power, yes i do pray five times a day, i read the quran , study science, listen to hip hop/rap/old skool. me listening to music is not going to be the sole reason of god punishing me, the only reason many scholars say that music is prohibited is that because it leads you away from your duties- religious and worldly.
i try and focus on what i listen to, its usually eminem,d12,50 cent or a popular tune on the radio, but thats about it.
islam is a very practical religion , you just need the proper answers to ur question ie. proper information
