Ramadan Karim!

Ramadan starts officialy in about ... 2 hours. It'll be the 8 time I'm doing it and probably the hardest time since it's practically summer and it's kinda hard to work and go to school under that heat without drinking nor eating.

Yea lol. You gotta wake up before sunrise to eat and drink then you fast during the whole day until sunset comes so you can eat and drink again.

Nah. I'm a bit to young for that stage of muslim life. *Normally*, you go to Mecca when you're pretty old but still healthy ( around 45-50 years old )

Downside is....you can't have sex, masturbate, touch a girl, put on perfume, have sexual thoughts, eat gum to cover up your monstrous breath, can't smoke (I don't smoke so it's not really a downside). But what's really hard is to stop treating people with disrespect and being mean you also can't harm or hurt living things, be cruel, un-courteous and selfish.

I like being mean sometimes but I can't, and I can't even be sarcastic which is probably going to be the hardest part of ramadan.

But upside is....since Ramadan is a blessed month ordained by God. It is the month in which Satan
and his minions are said to be locked away in Hell to prevent them from misleading, deceiving and whispering in the ears of believers. So every good deed is multiplied and If you die during ramadan you'll have way more chances to go into heaven.

third one is wrong, most Muslims say that because they do not know the actual reason why we fast.. The second is mostly it but also; We are suppose to get closer to Allah and the Quran, we are suppose to take the time for one month to completely put our focus on Allah and everything he has done/created for us. And praying is kinda the most important past of fasting, without prayer the fast is useless.. Fasting is also suppose to strengthen the soul and mind, your soul is liberated and closer to Allah more than ever..

Not eating and drinking does encourage us muslims to recognise how the poverty-stricken and starving people in the world must bear the burden of daily life and this is why, in Ramadan, many Muslims donate more to charities and why mosques collect more so that people right across the world can have better life and those who donate can gain greater regard for well intentioned actions. I like to think that by doing ramadan we're giving Zakat (not literally) but spiritually. But, you're right it's more of an effect of Islam then a reason.

Happy Ramadan to you to. First day and already going bad -_- woke up with a cold, throat was soar as hell, and I just HAD to drink water otherwise I woulda messed up my throat really bad. Anyways I think you can't fast if your sick. Damn it sucks to be sick IN THE FIRST DAY!!!

Btw since were on topic of Ramadan, I know alottttttttttttt of people who don't pray when they fast lol. Or stop swearing for that matter. I think it still counts though, no ones perfect.
