This is a good question. I hate YouTube haters who hate, because everyone else is doing it. Here's my breakdown of Soulja Boy...

Soulja Boy's lyrics are too simple and crude.

The Crank That verse is self-explanatory. His rhymes are exceptionally weak and he never really raps on that track either. He half-yells, half-dances, basically. And Soulja Boy just talks about the same subject: girls and cash. Unlike some rappers who can effectively talk about girls and cash, Soulja Boy talks about he will "fuck yo bitch" and how he got so many "stax". It's repetitive and disgusting how he thinks of it. I know he probably doesn't fuck every girl, but it has a bad message.

Soulja Boy is a party genre of music, not rap.

Soulja Boy does not make rap. He makes party music you blast out of your speakers during a celebration, dance, or when you're in the car. His music lacks content and a good message and has no purpose besides selling and being blasted.

And the most important to address, in my opinion...

Soulja Boy puts a terrible image on hip hop in general, due to his music.

Seriously, whenever someone lists why rap is bad, they almost ALWAYS have something like: "Rap just talks about having sex with girls and how much money and cars you have." Soulja Boy is a prime example of this. Because so many people listen to his music and know who he is, people would generally think that Soulja Boy is the DEFINITION of what rap is. I probably would think that if I listened to something besides rap. That's what I hate. Ignorant retards making broad generalizations about an entire genre, because of one artist releasing songs that sell a shitload.

I'm not a Soulja Boy hater though. I just don't like his music and don't listen to it.
