What context are you making this post in...I mean, have you been using nicotine steadily for months? Years? What's your dosage?

What I mean is...what qualifies you to comment on the actual extremity of nicotine addiction? Because if your experience with it is limited, then your opinion's weight is drastically reduced.

Or are you talking about the psychoactive effect, the high? Because that is most definitely subtle, and not what people get addicted to. They don't get addicted to the "high", per se, but once they become physically addicted to the substance, the "high" is more aptly described as the relief from cravings/withdrawals.

I'm curious...what do you mean, "the gesture"? Do you mean you're smoking just to do it? Sort of like a young kid does? Because honestly, there's nothing really cool about smoking, and if you're with people that think there is, you're with some wack motherfuckers. There's nothing all that great about it--doesn't get you high (and if it does, you're taking in too much nicotine), it's deadly in several different ways, and it stinks...not a good kind of stink either, if you know what I mean.

I don't know why anyone over the age of 14 would start smoking in today's world. There just really isn't any excuse to be that stupid.
