Content and Meaning Or in Your face punches

Now im almost sure this question has been asked a bunch of times Punches or storytelling
answer is both combined right but which is more important.. see im not too great for punches because i almost always freestyle and feel strange when i write but when i do i try to have lots of content and a few punches....
Basically its like 90s vs Now (with exceptions)
90s-stories
Mainstream Now-just punches fuck content( Advice and stuff helps basically find my true technique of writing i think everyones should be unique and each style in itself tells a story
