You can't deny the fact that after consuming to much alcohol, a human being might do something stupid which he wouldn't have done if he was not under influence.

Yes, and physical addiction is something that is easily considered as almost being out of the hands of the person addicted. Granted, they chose to drink. The reasons they chose to abuse alcohol could be numerous, but the addiction itself is something that is more complex than a single simple decision.

That being said, I want to say again, as others here have, that prohibition isn't the answer.

Yeah, true, it is a choice. So is drug use, weapon use, etc.

And in some cases it is forced, some people resort to drinking when they have problems.

It's still their choice - no one's putting a gun to their head and telling them to drink cause it'll make it better, they still pick up the bottle.

Definitely either remembering something incorrectly, or you read an article that was full of misinformation (more likely). In the UK, they made cannabis less of a priority, and as a result, there was a lot of media propaganda being put out about it; making it sound much worse than it is. Stories of Schizo mothers, who shoot up pure THC, and kill their children. They place little emphasis on the fact that the woman was also a heavy methamphetamine user, and that people *never* use THC intravenously.

Some people should not drink thats for damn sure. There are ppl who's chemical reactions and shit (in the braain) arent what they should be for certain drugs (in my experience, both weed and alcohol) but, speaking specifically of alcohol, these ppl get wasted quicker and they dont know when to stop. They will literally drink themselves to the point of collapse <- thats a bit silly, not to mention embarassing for the ppl they are with.
