I've had a couple serious injuries....not sure if I would call them near death.
The one I remember the clearest was when I was like 6. I was in Palestine visiting some family and was messing around on the side of the road one day. On the edge of a sidewalk, there was a ledge that to the left was the sidewalk, and to the right of it was some cemented ground like 4 or 5 feet below it. I of course, TRIED to balance myself on the ledge, slipped and fell of course on the lower ground. I ended up hitting my head on the ground and cut my head really badly, I was knocked unconscious from it. I lost a LOT of blood from that. Within 1/2 an hour I was at a place: I wouldn't call it a hospital, more like a small operating room. Had it to have stitches w/o anesthetics. It hurt
I don't think I would call that near death, but if I hadn't been with my cousins when I fell and within short walking distance of my grandma's house...it could have been.
Another one...also on my head was the year before ^. I was jumping and playing around on some bunk beds with some friends. The beds were perpendicular to each other, instead of one under the other, one was like sticking out, w/ just the "head" under the other bed. So I jumped from the top, and my head hit the wooden frame of the other bed where there happened to be a sharp sliver of wood sticking out. It struck me clean in the middle b/t my eyes. I got a really bad cut, miraculously it stopped like 1/2 a cm from my eyes!!! Was bleeding really bad, blood got in my mouth and everything. Same as other accident, had to have stitches and everything....
I have a tendency to hit my head alot
