It is obviously a very hard question Scotty. Perhaps I would make certain songs (like Em) that might be seen as pop but I wouldnt make girly new school type albums either.

Yeah I totally know what you mean, but think about it, your vast talent wont even be appreciated by large numbers and you will not be making enough money to live the life you perhaps want to. Its not as clearcut as we would like it to be

But at the same time; you can still earn a very decent living doing what you love provided you can hustle your product. Again Tech N9ne sold 1 million records without ever signing to a major label (in fact totally independent)

Eventhough I really want to be rich, I'd go with rappin my own shit and make money out of that. It doesnt matter that aint gon be that popular. I just cant imagine myself doin sumthin I dont love and respect. That would mean I wasted my life on nuthin. And I only get one. A short one...

I honestly dislike them. I can respect getting your hustle on, but when you do it by making art (music) that is devoid of purpose or meaning, it's like being a prostitute.

Those guy also don't really make nearly as much money as you might think. If I could make a decent living making music that is true to myself, I'd much rather do that than become totally famous making shit that is bogus.

On the other hand, if I could get up a lot of clout and name recognition by signing to a major, and then just bounce on them after two albums--and then go independent--I probably would. If that means I'd have to make a club song...I don't know, it'd be hard for me to sell out like that, honestly.

Pop rap is a bunch of bullshit. However, one must realize that with destruction, there comes new life. Once the pop rap fad fades away, there will again be a new resurgence of underground talent, and that is definitely a good thing.
