............it looks like. they offered him a 1 year contract, worth up to 1.3 million, but not all of it is guaranteed.
As a Sixers fan, and basketball fan, I think Sixers management are cheating themselves. Of course, they want to rebuild, they are technically rebuilding, in that they are building around Iguodala and Lou Williams for the future, but in the NBA today, and in general, you need a superstar. The Celtics have 3 of them, Dallas has a few of them, but they have Nowitzki, San Antonio, although built around defense and team work, has Duncan (and Parker and Ginobilli) etc. etc. and it seems like, even though NJ is 0-15 and can't win a game, they are doing the same thing as the Sixers. At least they are trying, with a superstar they do have; Devin Harris (remember that shot last year?). So amongst all my ranting here, I have to say I think the Sixers should of offered him a 5/6 year deal, to finish his career here, and to ultimately have a superstar amongst the other small market talented players we have on our team already (Iguodala, Lou Williams and Jason Kapoano maybe). We would be a threat in the eastern conf. and in general, as far as not coming off soft, and also, what are we- 5-13? we need to start winning. opinions, thoughts on my idea here? and on iverson getting a 1 year offer for 1.3 mil.
