honestly I hate these "categories" to death...cuz i feel i have to check back to see if i covered every category instead of just having fun setting up hot punchlines, ya know? I've read many verses which had better lines but lost because the other person won a few meaningless categories when it comes to battle rapping

To be honest, I agree with this comment. Punches & Personals are 70% of battle rapping... Multies are probably only 15% and flow/structure are the other 15%.

The whole system is a little weighted and corrupt. I could write an entirely random verse, but rhyme well and have great flow/structure and still win. That's how fucked up it is.

but you want to know what to improve on to make your next battle better, so the catagories help you know what you lost, so u can improve

it also hopefully cuts down on the dickriding, saying i vote for solace gives no explanation on why i picked him. breaking it down shows that at least the voter read the battles

this is a "text" battle so yeah, more emphasis should placed on structure and flow than if you were battling live
