^ Well it's clearly something or some nature of the belief which is causing havoc.

Because if you take the countries which adhere to religious values in the true sense and run their lives on those assumptions the most - Middle-east etc. Although ruined by dictators too, they're the most destructive, corrupt and distorted.

Then you take the most atheist-driven countries, like I said Sweden for one (85%) and it's one of the most peaceful. Very little violence and corruption.

It's less religion more to do with the way religion works. Believing in something with no evidence for the sake of it and making very large assumptions based only on circular faith is very dangerous and silly.

But you take out religion and you take out a huge huge chunk of human misery in history and at large today.

Sweden, Denmark etc. have proved that. Of course they still have murders and crime and what not. But by ditching religious values and this type of thinking, their societies are far more advanced than ours. Proven by the fact they have much much less crime, murder etc.

And how do you know that's because of the lack of religion? Because thats the on discernable thread you can match-up in every one of these countries. They all ditch these values and become better humans.

If everyone could change my mind, then I cant really say I have faith in my religion now can I? Definitely not ignorance, assuming that is pretty ironic. I was very open to people's opinions, read books, watched videos, etc, etc. & was even in doubt about God, but now I can say that I'm secure with my faith and nobody could change my mind about it. & I dont think theres anything wrong with that

I say there is zero evidence for god, never has been and the likelyhood is less than 1%. That is scientifically sound and logical, that is not irrational or ignorant.

If evidence proved god, I would believe god. That = Open-mindeness based on facts.

It's not however ignorant to say god is ridiculous or god is impossible. Because god is as close to impossible as anything humans have ever imagined.

Would you say it's ignorant to call flying by humans impossible? No evidence supports it and the laws of nature would have to all be wrong for it to happen. So it's not ignorant to deny something that goes against every grain of logic we know is true.

You can't prove 100% there aren't fairies either. So do you think they're likely? Would you consider it IGNORANT to say there are no fairies? If so I think you need educating on the meaning of the word.

We've accumulated enough evidence to contradict the existence / likelyhood of a god, to categorize it as close to impossible as impossible can get.

We only say it's not 100% impossible because Scientists have to say that about everything. But they basically count it as that.

All the evidence points AGAINST god and NO evidence points TOWARDS god, any god. So by saying there almost definitely is NO god - That IS NOT IGNORANT.

That is working on the side of the facts. On the side of logic and on the side of rationality. It's the 100% total opposite of ignorance. It's forming a viewpoint based on reality and facts not blind-faith.

To say however that there is a god and no evidence matters, that is ignorant. That is IGGGNNOOORRRING the facts. So learn the meaning of words before you use them.

I respect everyones beliefs. Calling someone ignorant just for believing in God is very degrading and offensive. Why judge, or call anyone stupid for having their own opinions?

This is kinda funny. Ever since you joined the forum i have felt that you're a smart and logical person, but when we're debating the existence of a god those aspects of you totally disappear. You become illogical, close minded and your arguments does hold water at all.

When a person disregards every bit of science and logic, I think it's okay to call that person ignorant. Believe what you want to believe, but don't come complaining when you're called a moron.
